Update: Final restoration of alleyway between NE 43rd and NE 45th Streets

What

Starting as early as Friday, October 25th, Sound Transit’s contractor and Seattle City Light will pour concrete around the electrical vaults in the alleyway. This work will require complete closure of the alleyway, which means there will be no pedestrian or vehicular access. Once this work is finished, the alleyway will open to pedestrians and service vehicles only. 

When

Concrete pour around vaults will happen between Friday, 10/25/19 and Wednesday, 11/13/19, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The alleyway will reopen for pedestrians and service vehicles by November 15th, 2019. 

Where

Alley between NE 43rd and NE 45th Street and University Way NE and Brooklyn Ave NE (see map).

More

  • There will be no pedestrian access allowed while work is taking place.
  • There will be additional noise.
  • The garbage dumpsters will still be moved to the south end of the alley on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
