While Angle Lake Station won’t be end of line for much longer, hop off the 1 Line there are you’ll be greeted by more than just a ride home.

Several cultural offerings await at The Roadhouse, a vibrant community performance space nestled within the station’s parking garage.

Stop by this weekend for the SeaTac South-End Summer Pop-Up Mercado on Aug. 2!

A stage for the community

The Roadhouse is a performance venue supported by Sound Transit’s STart art program. From its debut in October 2023, it’s been bringing local South King County culture to the fore, a testament to real civic art in action.

The Roadhouse hosts live events year-round, from free concerts and dance performances to community programming highlighting local talent. They even hosted watch parties for the Club World Cup this summer.

Sound Transit-supported events are all-ages and all-inclusive, so bring your whole squad — it’s designed to welcome everyone, from kids to seniors.

Expect marquee shows and smaller gatherings spread throughout the year, often with no admission charge. Check out the events calendar here.

Also, everything at The Roadhouse is rooted in local history: The name “Roadhouse” nods to South King County’s mid‑20th-century dance halls like the legendary Spanish Castle — where even Jimi Hendrix performed.

More than just shows

The Roadhouse is also available to rent, so you might consider this amazing cultural space for a community meetups, workshop, or even private event.

The venue is managed by Show Brazil Productions, featuring experienced local producers connected with BrasilFest and longtime Seattle arts.

The Roadhouse lives in the architecturally eye-catching station garage at Angle Lake, a spot designed to draw you in — not just as a commute stop, but as a cultural waypoint.
