Four month closure of 52nd Ave W between 208th St SW and 212th St SW

As early as Monday, Aug. 24th, Sound Transit's contractor will close a portion of 52nd Avenue West between 208th Street Southwest and 212th Street Southwest for approximately four months. During this closure, work crews will relocate utilities, install girders that will support elevated guideway, repair the roadway, and restore the sidewalks. Local access to all residences and businesses will be maintained at all times throughout the closure. A detour is provided for all that use 52nd to commute (see map).

What

Work will begin next week to prepare a portion of 52nd Avenue West for light rail guideway construction. 52nd Avenue W between 208th Street Southwest and 212th Street Southwest will close to through traffic for approximately four months.

When

Closure will begin on Aug. 24th and will remain in place for approximately four months. Work hours are from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Notifications will be sent out ahead of any night work within the closure area.
