Night closures at 1st Ave NE and Northgate Way intersection

As early as Tuesday, Dec. 8th, Sound Transit will close the 1st Avenue Northeast and Northgate Way intersection. The nighttime closure will be utilized for deck work for the light rail guideway construction. This closure will take place between the work hours of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What
- Roads will be closed for crews to complete cross bracing work for the light rail construction.
- Northgate Way on-ramp to northbound Interstate 5 will be closed.
- Suggested detour route is located on 1st Avenue Northeast (see map).
- Work consists of heavy equipment and residents can expect noise from construction.
- Full closures will occur during work hours and re-open during non-work hours.
When
- Tuesday night, Dec. 8th to Thursday night, Dec. 10th.
- Night construction work hours are from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Roads will remain open outside of work hours.
Where
- 1st Avenue and Northgate Way intersection.
- Northgate Way on-ramp to Northbound I-5.
- Access will be maintained for local residents.
