Night closures on I-405 in Bellevue on May 10th
Overnight drivers should be aware of upcoming closures on Interstate 405 in downtown Bellevue. Beginning on Thursday May 10th, Sound Transit’s contractor will be reinforcing falsework along the horizontal spans across the highway. This is in preparation for the future elevated light rail structure above I-405.
What to expect
From 10:00 p.m. until 5 a.m., crews will close the HOV/ Express Toll lane and one left general purpose lane on northbound I-405 between I-90 and NE 6th Street in Bellevue to perform falsework.
Crews will also close HOV/ Express Toll lanes on southbound I-405 between 520 and NE 6th Street from 10:00 p.m. until 5 a.m.
The northbound off-ramp and southbound on-ramps to and from NE 6th Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. while work is occuring.
During the closures, drivers should follow the signed detour.
