Overnight I-90 ramp closures

Crews working for Sound Transit will relocate the swing gates on the northbound Rainier Ave. to eastbound I-90 on-ramp. To safely complete this work, the ramp will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning as early as Monday July 8. This work is anticipated to last one week.

Drivers can use the southbound Rainier Ave. to eastbound I-90 on-ramp or access eastbound I-90 from 4th Ave. during this time.

  • Crews will relocate swing gates on the northbound Rainier Ave. to eastbound I-90 on-ramp, from July 8 – 12. 
  • The northbound Rainier Ave. to eastbound I-90 on-ramp will close overnight, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to safely complete this work. Drivers can use the southbound Rainier Ave. to eastbound I-90 on-ramp or access eastbound I-90 from 4th Ave.
  • Plan ahead, leave early and allow extra time to reach your destination.
