South 216th Street closure and detour July 19 – Aug. 23

Crews will be working on construction of a tunnel structure on the west side of I-5 during the South 216th Street closure.

A portion of South 216th Street will be closed for the construction of a tunnel structure on the west side of Interstate 5 from July 19 through Aug. 23. The tunnel is being constructed for the future north and south bound lines of Sound Transit's Link Light Rail system. After construction, South 216th Street will be repaved and restored to its current condition. Access for local residents will be maintained at all times during the shutdown.
