Thank you to everyone who participated in the most recent round of outreach for the SR 522/NE 145th Bus Rapid Transit Project. We appreciated getting to meet with so many of you at the drop-in sessions held in Shoreline and Kenmore last week.

Please remember to visit sr522brt.participate.online by Feb. 11 to learn more and share your thoughts on the preliminary refined project.

Your input will be shared with the City Managers, Interagency and Elected Leadership Groups along with the Sound Transit Board of Directors before the project is advanced into conceptual engineering and environmental review.

Project schedule and what's next?

To start construction as fast as possible, the project team has established an ambitious planning and environmental analysis timeline.

Throughout 2018 and early 2019, staff engaged with neighboring communities to learn about their priorities and ideas to help inform the preliminary refined project. The project team will present the preliminary refined project to the Sound Transit Board of Directors in March 2019 and begin conceptual engineering and environmental review. In 2019, the project will continue community outreach to gather feedback to help inform the project design. Keep an eye out for more information on upcoming in-person and online events later this year.

Thank you for being engaged throughout this planning process – your feedback is essential to shaping the project.
