Passengers are welcome to bring bikes and scooters on trains, entering through the middle doors (marked with a bicycle symbol) and following posted rules. When trains are crowded, please park bikes in secure, on-demand lockers and bike rooms available at every station using the BikeLink app. Access cards and real-time locker availability information are available at bikelink.org.
Link trains can accommodate a maximum of six bicycles or scooters per car. Each car has four bicycle hooks for hanging bikes vertically; there are two each within two designated bicycle and luggage storage areas on each car. These storage areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the storage area is in use, two passengers may stand with their bicycles in each adjacent aisle.
To use the hook, maneuver your bicycle so that the front wheel is facing the window within the storage area. Lift the front wheel up to a vertical position, place your knee on the saddle, and use your leg to help lift the bike up onto the hook. Look out for others around you as you hang your bike.
To stand with your bicycle, remain by the doors near the storage area, restrain your bike with one hand, and hold on to a secure pole or strap with the other. It may be necessary to move your bicycle around to allow other riders to get on and off or move about the train.
Bicycles cannot exceed 84” in length and 23” in width.
