Bringing your bike or scooter
Everything you need to know about riding your bike or scooter and connecting with Sound Transit.

How to bring your bike on Sounder

Passengers are welcome to bring bikes and scooters on trains, entering through doors marked with a bicycle symbol and following posted rules as well as any directions from the conductor. When trains are crowded, please park bikes in secure, on-demand lockers and bike rooms available at every station using the BikeLink app. Access cards and real-time locker availability information are available at bikelink.org.

A maximum of four bicycles are allowed per train car (with two in tie-down spaces and two standing). If the tie-down spaces are not present or already occupied, two cyclists may stand with their bicycles by the doors. Bicycles exceeding 70” in length or 3.25” in tire width may not be brought onboard.

Cyclists should wait to load or unload their bicycle until all other passengers have loaded or unloaded. They may only enter through doors with a bicycle symbol and must follow any directions from the conductor.

Cyclists must secure their bicycles while holding onto a secure pole and may need to move their bicycle so that other passengers may enter, exit, or move about the train. Leaning or securing a bicycle to other bicycles is not allowed.

Future configurations of Sounder railcars may offer additional capacity as designated bicycle cars with different boarding policies.
