1 Line - Northgate – Angle Lake

Link Shuttle buses are replacing the 1 Line between Westlake Station and SODO Station beginning at 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 4, due to WSDOT bridge inspections near Stadium Station. 

Trains will be using the northbound (to Northgate) platform of Westlake station and the southbound (to Angle Lake) platform of SODO station for boarding and exiting. Trains will operate every 15 minutes for the 1 Line and 10 to 15 minutes for Link Shuttle buses during the disruption. 

1 Line Service to Angle Lake get on/off buses at:

Westlake Station – 3rd Ave & Pine St
University St Station - 3rd Ave & Union St  
Pioneer Square Station - 3rd Ave & James St   
Int’l Dist/Chinatown Station - 5th Ave S & S Weller St  
Stadium Station - 6th Ave & S Royal Brougham Way  
SODO Station - transfer to the 1 Line 

1 Line Service to Northgate get on/off buses at:

SODO Station - transfer to the 1 Line
Stadium Station - SODO Busway & S Royal Brougham Way
Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station - 4th Ave S & S Jackson St
Pioneer Square Station - 3rd Ave & James St
University St Station - 3rd Ave & Union St
Westlake Station - 3rd Ave & Pine St

University Street surface to mezzanine unavailable until further notice due to a mechanical issue.

The elevator at Exit C servicing the street (Seneca St. & 3rd Ave) and South Mezzanine is out of service. Riders requiring elevator service, see below for alternate route information.

To ride the 1 Line:
Go to Exit B (2nd Ave &University St.) to use the elevators at the North Mezzanine servicing both platforms.

To exit the 1 Line:
Use the elevators at the North Mezzanine servicing both platforms and go to Exit B (2nd Ave &University St.).

For passengers needing elevator access to 3rd Avenue:
If traveling toward Northgate, ride the 1 Line to Pioneer Square Station, use Exit A to 3rd Avenue & James Street, and transfer to any bus to reach University Street Station.

If traveling toward Angle Lake, ride the 1 Line to Westlake Station, use Exits C1 or C2 to 3rd Avenue & Pine Street, cross 3rd Avenue, transfer to any bus at 3rd Avenue & Pine Street, and ride one stop to University Street Station.

The PIMS system will improve the passenger experience by providing passengers with accurate real-time arrival data and out of service train information.  

PIMS testing will be ongoing during all hours of operation and will occur in two phases:

Phase 1: Tuesday, May 9 to Friday, May 12 - COMPLETE

Phase 2: , Wednesday, May 31 to Monday, July 3

1 Line station signage may temporarily display inaccurate information from Wednesday, May 31 through Monday, July 3 due to revenue testing for the new Passenger Information Management System (PIMS). Trip planner data will be inaccurate during this system testing event, the most reliable source of information about 1 Line arrival times is the 1 Line schedule.

1 Line will be single tracking at Beacon Hill Station and Mt Baker Station overnight on Monday, June 5. This single tracking event will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. until the end of service due to track maintenance activities.

Both northbound and southbound trains will arrive and depart from the platform to Angle Lake. Please pay close attention while in station to ensure that you’re boarding your train in the right direction. 

1 Line trains will be operating on 15-minute headways during this single tracking event. Please plan ahead for additional travel time.
