S Line train #1508 (6:06 a.m. Lakewood Station to King Street Station) will be canceled on Friday, Sept. 25, due to crew availability resulting from the train incidents that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 24.

In effect: Sep. 25, 6:06 a.m. - 8:21 a.m.

Elevator closure Ongoing

Kent Station garage elevator 1 unavailable until further notice.

In effect: Sep. 22, 8:57 a.m.

Routes: S Line

Please use elevator 2 located in the northeast corner of the garage until repairs have been completed.

Please use caution when crossing the tracks.

From Aug. 10, 2026, through Feb. 15, 2027, parking capacity will be reduced at Kent Sounder Station Garage due to construction.

In effect: Aug. 10, 2026 - Feb. 16, 2027

Routes: S Line

Passengers can still park at the garage and access the Kent Sounder Station during construction.
The project will repair and improve the concrete structure of the garage.

8/10/26 – 9/14/26: Parking level 5 will be closed. Updates to follow when available.

Starting Monday, March 16, Sound Transit will close Kent Station’s northwest Sounder surface parking lot.

In effect: March 16, 2026 - Jan. 1, 2027

Routes: S Line

The only available spots for this lot will be three ADA parking spots. This closure will last the duration of this project phase. We expect this phase to be completed in December 2026. We encourage drivers to use the existing Kent garage at W Smith St and 1st Ave N.
