From Aug. 10, 2026, through Feb. 15, 2027, parking capacity will be reduced at Kent Station Garage due to construction.

In effect: Aug. 10, 2026 - Feb. 16, 2027

Routes: S Line

Passengers can still park at the garage and access Kent Station during construction.
The project will repair and improve the concrete structure of the garage.

8/10/26 – 9/3/26: Parking level 5 will be closed. Updates to follow when available.

Sound Transit is testing real-time Sounder arrival information on overhead signs.

In effect: June 3, 9:47 a.m.

Routes: N Line & S Line

Real-time arrival information is being tested on signs at Sounder stations. At times, signs may display inaccurate information due to testing. Trip planner data may also be inaccurate during this time; Sounder schedules are the most reliable source of information about arrival times.

Starting Monday, March 16, Sound Transit will close Kent Station’s northwest Sounder surface parking lot.

In effect: March 16, 2026 - Jan. 1, 2027

Routes: S Line

The only available spots for this lot will be three ADA parking spots. This closure will last the duration of this project phase. We expect this phase to be completed in December 2026. We encourage drivers to use the existing Kent garage at W Smith St and 1st Ave N.

From 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, to Sunday, Aug. 16, the Tukwila Sounder Station parking lot will be closed for maintenance. The lot will reopen before Sounder service begins Monday, Aug. 17.

In effect: Aug. 14-17

Routes: S Line

Vehicles remaining in the parking lot after 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, may be towed.

Passengers can use the Longacres Way pick-up and drop-off area for access to both train platforms and ticket vending machines.

Signage will be placed to guide vehicles to alternate parking stations during this time.
