Overview
The elevated Kent Des Moines Station provides access to Highline College and surrounding neighborhoods and businesses. The conceptual design includes three new, landscaped streets to promote easy access for walking, rolling, bicycling and transit. Two large plaza areas feature landscaping, seating, and public art. A food truck plaza, near the 500-space garage, features areas for sheltered seating.
Transit-oriented development (TOD)
We're working to identify opportunities to bring affordable housing, jobs, services and community spaces to people with a range of incomes in the area of the Kent/Des Moines Link light rail station.
