Starting this week, there’s a new way to track Sound Transit’s service performance in your neck of the woods.

Curious to see how many people are riding trains and buses in your area, or how frequently they run on-time? Wondering how the elevators or escalators at your local station are performing?

No problem. Our online System Performance Tracker now includes a “Service in your neighborhood” functionality.

Choose from a menu of 49 different communities across the Sound Transit district, or simply use the map tools to zoom in on a given area.

To the right of the map, you’ll automatically see overall ridership, reliability, and access metrics for your selected area.

You can also click right or left within each section to see ridership and reliability broken down by transit mode, and elevator vs. escalator performance. These sections also show performance trends over the past 12 months.

In the section at bottom left of the map, you can drill down even further to find data on the specific bus and rail routes within your selected area.

We know how valuable clear performance data can be for our passengers, and we’re committed to making it easier for you to find and use when you need it. The new “Service in your neighborhood” tool is just one way we’re working to better share information.

We also want your feedback on how to keep improving the entire System Performance Tracker. It includes dashboards with more of our key performance metrics, like safety, peer transit agency comparisons, and data from our passenger experience surveys.

Let us know what you think by taking our survey.
