Weekday Construction traffic impacts: Week of January 29-February 2

I-90 Ramps

Monday-Friday 8 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Daily/overnight closure of the Bellevue Way SE to I-90 west HOV ramp. The duration of these closures may vary based on the needs of the contractor, but the ramps are expected to remain open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Daily/overnight closures of the Bellevue Way SE to I-90 west HOV ramp are expected to continue on a regular basis throughout the project. During the closures the contractor is performing work to construct the columns and guideway.

112th Avenue SE

Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Daily closures of one northbound lane of 112th Avenue SE, between Bellevue Way SE and SE 8th Street.

Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.: As needed, in order to complete utility work and facilitate wall construction, Sound Transit’s contractor may close one lane of 112th Ave SE, between Main Street and SE 8th.

Bellevue Way SE

Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.: Daily closures of one northbound lane of Bellevue Way SE, between the South Bellevue Station site and the Wye at 112th Avenue SE.

Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.: As needed, crews will close one southbound lane of Bellevue Way SE, between the Wye at 112th Avenue SE and the South Bellevue Station site.

Monday-Friday 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: As needed, survey crews will perform CCTV inspection of storm and sewer lines, and waterline leak detection along Bellevue Way SE. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.

Century Link work: Pulling fiber on Bellevue Way SE

Thursday, January 25 and continuing as needed next week 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: Under their own permit, Century Link will be working overnight on Bellevue Way SE. Work is limited to pulling cable. No heavy equipment will be used and all back-up alarms will be turned to broadband or disabled. One lane in each direction will be maintained.

Early Morning Concrete Pour February 1

Crews plan to begin pouring concrete for column foundations between east and westbound I-90 as early as 6 a.m. on Thursday, February 1st.

In order to complete necessary work and reopen the Bellevue Way Southeast to I-90 west HOV ramp by 3 p.m. each day, crews need to schedule the early morning pour. Crews will minimize noisier activities to normal working hours, M-F 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and equipment/vehicles will utilize broadband backup alarms. Sound Transit's contractor is permitted to work expanded hours along Bellevue Way Southeast, including 24-hour work in the area south of the future South Bellevue Station site.

  • Sidewalk closures and detours on Bellevue Way SE and 112th Ave SE

  • Winters House and Blueberry Farm Closure and new temporary lot

24-hour closure: The sidewalk on Bellevue Way SE between the Wye at 112th Ave SE and the South Bellevue Station site is closed. This closure will continue for approximately 2 ½ years; people biking and walking should seek alternate routes.

24-hour closure: The sidewalk on the west side of 112th Ave SE, between East Main and SE 6th is closed due to construction activities on the west side of 112th Ave SE. The sidewalk on the east side of 112th Ave SE between SE 8th and Bellevue Way SE is also closed. These sidewalk closures may shift to the opposite side of the street as work progresses. One sidewalk will be maintained during utility work. People walking are asked to follow the signed detour route, crossing at the signalized intersections located at Main Street, SE 6th, and SE 8th. The King County Metro bus stop located between Main Street and SE 4th has been relocated to a new location on the west side of 112th Ave NE, north of Main Street. The King County Metro stop located south of SE 4th has been relocated to a new location on the west side of 112th Ave SE, south of SE 6th.

24-hour closure: SE 15th Street has been closed and will remain closed for approximately three years, as crews prepare the area for construction of the road-over-rail crossing. Workers and visitors wishing to access Bellefield Office Park can use 114th AVE SE from SE 8th Street.

24-hour closure: The parking lots at the Winters House and Blueberry Farm are closed for East Link construction. Access to Mercer Slough Park and the trail system will remain open. During the closure, parking is available at a new temporary parking lot located near the South Bellevue Station site. The new lot is for Mercer Slough Park users and a 3-hour maximum will be enforced. Commuter parking will NOT be allowed at this lot.
