Night closure of off-ramp to westbound SR 104 and off-ramp to eastbound SR 104

On Monday, Feb. 22, Sound Transit's contractor will work at night at the State Route (SR) 104 and northbound Interstate 5 interchange. All lanes of traffic on SR 104, the off-ramp from I-5 northbound to SR 104 westbound, and the on-ramp from SR 104 eastbound to I-5 northbound will be closed while work is underway. Detours will be provided (see map). The contractor has obtained a Temporary Noise Variance to complete this work.

What

Moderate construction and engine noise at night to construct columns for future bridge and mobilization of machinery at the I-5 SR 104 interchange. 

When

Work will occur Monday, Feb. 22, through Tuesday, Feb. 23. The Temporary Noise Variance will be in effect from Monday 10 p.m. - Tuesday 7 a.m. Nighttime closures and detours will be in effect from Monday, 10 p.m. – Tuesday, 4 a.m. 

Where

  • Northbound I-5 off-ramp to westbound SR 104.
  • Eastbound SR 104 to on-ramp for northbound I-5.
  • SR 104 all lanes will be closed from I-5 ramps on east side to west side of interstate bridge.

  • Plan ahead, leave early and allow extra time to reach your destination.
  • Please be prepared for delays while this work takes place.
