Rainier Avenue at I-90 closed for up to three weekends in October

Publish Date
Body

Now that the Rainier Freeway stop has closed, construction of the Judkins Park Station will increase this fall. To construct the station entrances at Rainier Avenue, crews will begin demolishing a portion of the westbound I-90 lanes above Rainier Avenue. The existing pedestrian bridge will remain and will connect the future station entrances on the east and west side of Rainier Avenue.

To complete this demolition, crews will close Rainier Avenue South at I-90 and the westbound I-90 to southbound I-90 off-ramp, for up to three weekends in October. These closures are expected to take place:

  • Oct. 12 – 15 (Friday 11 p.m. - Monday 5 a.m.)
  • Oct. 19 – 22 (Friday 11 p.m. - Monday 5 a.m.)
  • Oct. 26 – 29 (Friday 11 p.m. - Monday 5 a.m.)
