Sumner Station

Affected Trains:
S Line train #1511 (3:35 PM King Street Station to Lakewood Station)
S Line train #1512 (6:46 AM Lakewood Station to King Street Station)

We understand this may result in more crowded conditions than usual, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. If you prefer a more comfortable ride during this period, you may wish to consider alternate train options. Thank you for your continued support and flexibility.
During times of excessive heat, it is required that train tracks are inspected frequently and Sounder trains operate at a reduced speed. While necessary precautions to take for public safety, these factors will cause some delays to the system.
ADA parking will still be available within the garage on levels 2 through 5. On levels 2-4, there are five ADA parking stalls on each level, and three ADA parking stalls on level 5.

An additional 20 ADA parking stalls, including four van-accessible stalls, are in the new surface lot at the south end of the bus loop near the corner of S 320th St and 22nd Ave S. Drivers can access this lot from 22nd Ave S between S 319th St and S 320th St. This lot also contains ADA paratransit and general pick-up/drop-off locations.

For more information about ongoing construction at this station and the future Kent/Des Moines and Star Lake stations that will be served when the 1 Line extends to Federal Way (scheduled in 2026), visit the Federal Way Link Extension project web page and subscribe to project updates.
