Fall 2026 Service Change

Sound Transit’s fall service change will begin on Saturday, Aug. 29. Many ST Express bus routes will undergo changes, ranging from discontinued routes to major adjustments and minor service improvements to enhance reliability.  

Schedule changes are effective Aug. 29, 2026.

Discontinued routes:

  • Route eliminated. 

  • Route eliminated. 

  • Route eliminated. 

  • Route eliminated. 

  • Replaced by 597: Lakewood – Seattle (Night Bus) 

  • Route eliminated. 

ST Express bus routes with major service changes:

  • Service increased to every 15 minutes. 

  • This route will now serve Bellevue Transit Center and Bellevue Downtown Station instead of University District Station.  

  • Added stops in Issaquah. 

  • Service increased to every 15 minutes. 

  • This route will serve Federal Way Downtown Station instead of SeaTac Airport. 

  • Service increased to every 15 minutes. 

  • Lakewood Transit Center stops are replaced by Lakewood Station bays 3 (northbound) and 4 (southbound). 

  • Riders currently using Route 574 to/from SeaTac Airport late night/early morning should use new Route 597. 

ST Express bus routes with service adjustments:

  • Additional southbound trips in the evenings. 
  • Introduce bi-directional service.  

  • Schedule adjustments.  

  • New stops on W Casino Rd in Everett. 

  • At Seaway Transit Center, southbound buses will serve bay 6, northbound buses will serve bay 11.    

  • Service increased to every 30 minutes during the day on weekends.  

  • New weekend trips added to schedule.  

  • Schedule adjustments to improve reliability.
