Service changes

On Oct. 2, Sound Transit will open three new Link stations, Northgate, Roosevelt, and U District and bus service will adjust to connect to the new stations. This means that Route 511, 512, 513, 522, 542, and 556 riders will need to transfer in order to reach their destination. Please review the maps below to plan your transfer from bus to Link.

Changes to Sounder and ST Express bus routes operated by Pierce Transit will be implemented between Sunday, Sept 19 and Monday, Sept. 20.

ST Express buses

560 – West Seattle to SeaTac to Bellevue: Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels. Permanent "detour" routing in Renton to avoid traffic congestion. Effective Sunday, Sept. 19.

566 – Auburn to Overlake: Permanent "detour" routing in Renton to avoid traffic congestion. Effective Monday, Sept. 20.

577 – Federal Way to Seattle: Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels in Downtown Seattle. Effective Sunday, Sept. 19.

578 – Puyallup to Seattle: Adding 10:43 p.m. departure from Seattle on weekends. Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels in Downtown Seattle. Effective Sunday, Sept. 19.

580 – Puyallup to Lakewood: Adding one trip between Puyallup and Lakewood coinciding with the restoration of Sounder train 1507 (2:35 p.m. from Seattle to Tacoma). Effective Monday, Sept. 20.

590 – Tacoma to Seattle: Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels in Downtown Seattle. Effective Monday, Sept. 20.

592 – DuPont to Seattle: Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels in Downtown Seattle. Effective Monday, Sept. 20.

594 – Lakewood to Seattle: Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels in Downtown Seattle. Effective Sunday, Sept. 19.

595 – Gig Harbor to Seattle: Adjusting scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels in Downtown Seattle. Effective Monday, Sept. 20.

596 – Sumner to Bonney Lake: Adding one trip between Sumner and Bonney Lake coinciding with the restoration of Sounder train 1507 (2:35 p.m. from Seattle to Tacoma). Effective Monday, Sept. 20.

Sounder trains

Sounder S Line – Seattle to Tacoma/Lakewood: Train 1507 (2:35 p.m. from Seattle to Tacoma) and its corresponding reverse train (1520, 4:06 p.m. from Tacoma to Seattle) will be restored on Sept. 20, 2021.

Link light rail

Link 1 Line – Northgate to Angle Lake: Service begins to Northgate, adding three new stations in North Seattle including Northgate, Roosevelt and U District. Effective Saturday, Oct. 2. Learn more here.

ST Express buses

510 – Everett to Seattle: Adding stop at MLT Freeway Station to allow transfers to 511/512/513 for access to Northgate Station. Route 510 continues to Downtown Seattle for those who do not wish to transfer. Effective Monday, Oct. 4.

511 – Ash Way to Northgate: Route ends at new Northgate Station, frequency increases. Effective Monday, Oct. 4.

512 – Everett to Northgate: No longer stops at NE 145th Street Freeway Station. Route ends at Northgate Station, frequency increases. Effective Saturday, Oct. 2.

513 – Seaway Transit Center to Northgate: New stops at Ash Way and Lynnwood Transit Center. Route ends at Northgate Station, frequency increases. Effective Monday, Oct. 4.

522 – Woodinville to Roosevelt: Route ends at Roosevelt Station, weekend frequency increases. Effective Saturday, Oct. 2.

532 – Everett to Bellevue: Schedule adjustments. Effective Monday, Oct. 4.

535 – Lynnwood to Bellevue: Restore midday frequencies to 30 mins. Effective Saturday, Oct. 2.

542 – Redmond to U District: Route ends at U District Station. Effective Saturday, Oct. 2.

550-Bellevue to Seattle: Courtesy stop on Bellevue Way will no longer be served because KCM Route 249 will be restored to service. Route 550 begins serving the bus loop at the South Bellevue Garage once it opens.

556 – Issaquah to U District: Service restored between U District Station and Issaquah via Bellevue. Service operates in peak periods every 30 min. Effective Monday, Oct. 4.

With the region's continuing recovery from the pandemic, Sound Transit will improve Link light rail service frequencies starting June 12. Link will run every eight minutes during peak hours and every ten minutes during midday and weekends. During late evenings, Link will run every 15 minutes.

The new PDF schedule for service starting June 12 is now available.

Sound Transit's March 2021 service schedule begins on Saturday, Mar. 20, for Link light rail and ST Express bus routes operated by King County Metro. It began on Sunday, Mar. 21 for ST Express bus routes operated by Community Transit or Pierce Transit, and Monday, Mar. 22, for Sounder train and Tacoma Link light rail.

510: Adding four daily trips, adjusting timing of some trips to meet demand, and reducing scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels. Effective Mar. 22
511: Reducing scheduled travel times to reflect current traffic levels. Effective Mar. 22
