The work scheduled for December 7 and 8 to repair the overhead power issue at the University of Washington Station has been postponed. Trains will operate on their regular schedule this weekend.

Information concerning the rescheduling of the overhead power work will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
The work will require escalators to be turned off for an estimated 8-9 days each escalator, and at times may impact walk/roll paths through portions of the station or plazas. Most the work will be conducted between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. so as to reduce impact to passengers. Stairwells will be closed at times during these hours while scaffolding is being erected or dismantled.

Escalator closures are currently planned for the following date ranges:

• Dec 6-13: escalator at north end of station (serving Exit A) will be out of service.
• Dec 14-22: escalator at south end of station (serving Exit B) will be out of service.

This work will not impact elevator access at the station.

The work schedule is subject to change. For updated information, passengers should subscribe to station-specific service alerts. Visit the Service alerts web page to sign up and find current information on service disruptions. From this page you can also sign up to receive alerts by text or email.
